In her slumber, Cicely lives out the experiences of strangers Charles Ryder and Vivian Venables, involved by a man who deals in secrets in recovering a secret file taken from an American government contractor. While Cicely, helped by a psychiatrist, seeks to understand the bizarre dreams that plague her, Charles and Vivian follow a trail of hidden knowledge that could impact the entire world. At a facility concealed in the American southwest they meet visitors from far away that carry out an otherworldly mission.
