The Sins of Salmon River: Book Three -- A Doubtful End

Overview

There's a melee beyond what can ever be controlled. The next morning Kate and Alex know they are close to the end of their relationship. Dathan talks Alex into doing a couple of booby traps to pay off Kate's drug debt. There's a trip of North over the Canadian border to stash the money and to do an exchange with a dealer that leaves Dathan doubting when a raid happens. There's a party for the regulars including Kate and all of her friends. When she buys an 8 ball from Dathan there's a dramatic happening that falls on all who are involved. Dathan now sends his gang to eliminate him, when he ends up in the hospital with some injuries and burns. Later while in a house trying to remove a booby trap, the house catches on fire. One of his rescuers, a woman firefighter pulls him out of the fire just time. In a hospital the DEA tries to talk Alex into helping them with the gang. Dathan now becomes desperate and sends his gang to eliminate Alex before he tells all. A suspense thriller, theme oriented, the story revolves around drugs and a gang that is determined to take over not just the little town of Salmon River but the whole of the state and more. Character driven by an extra array of characters you are carried away into a fanatical world few know exists. The third of a series of four books, a must read are Book One, The Town Darling, Book Two, the Goon Platoon and Book Four, Beyond the Horizon. Although it could be easily a true tale, this work of fiction is more like the Grapes of Wrath than Traffic.
