A year has passed since Dashi narrowly escaped the khan's race with her life. Now all Dashi wants is to lead a quiet life, but the revelation that her family is the stuff of Purek legend continues to bring dangerous attention. When her sister, Idree, goes missing, Dashi has no choice but to follow her sister's trail...even if it leads back to her homeland and a city rife with enemies. T.J. Carroll has lived all over but now calls Earth home. When she's not writing, she enjoys hiking, saying she's going to establish a family game night, and lurking in bookstores. The Golden Needle is her debut novel and the first book in The Taiga series.
