Author Information

John Paul Fay was born in Malden, Massachusetts and his family settled in East Boston. Fay is a writer, film producer. part-time actor, fan of horror and offbeat movies, student of the martial arts, and avid, sometimes overzealous experiencer of altered states of mind who may or may not be in recovery, jail, or the nearest graveyard as of this writing. I have been writing for a few years now, in that time I have been the co-author of books with spiritual gurus, Christian grandmothers, and adult film stars, such as Rebecca Lord. My book of interviews Subversives: Interviews With Radicals was released in November of 2017. My first book with WildBlue was Raw Deal, which I co-authored with Gil Valle, who is better known as The Cannibal Cop. I also write regularly for many popular websites, such as Alternet, TheFix, and Pacific Standard Magazine. Before I started writing, I had numerous jobs in social justice, one of them was as a prisoner advocate for the ACLU. I have long been interested in civil rights and I have a particular interest in people who are shamed or even prosecuted for being different. I am excited about the release of The Shawcross Letters, which is to be published in February 2018 by WildBlue Press. This book will truly test the boundaries of even the most seasoned true crime reader, while at the same point allowing the reader to explore the mind of a killer in a way that has rarely been done before.
