Dan Whalen is the father of Maeve and Nora Whalen. Dan gave Maeve and Nora the idea of working together to write and illustrate a book displaying the importance of sharing. While Maeve and Nora were beginning to play together my wife and I looked for books to help us display the importance of sharing and couldn't find any that we really liked, or that we felt conveyed the importance of sharing appropriately. We decided since this was the case that we should sit down with Maeve and Nora and write and illustrate our own book in hopes that it would create a better relationship between his two daughters. We hope you enjoy it! Maeve is a young girl who lives life to the fullest. She loves going to school and learning. She is involved in gymnastics, soccer, and loves doing any outdoor activities, Maeve is also very fond of traveling, seeing new places and doing new things. It's also worth noting that Maeve has a very big sweet tooth and loves any and all treats ESPECIALLY if it's chocolate. Maeve has a lot of close friends and family members and loves spending time with them any chance she gets, although she also loves a good snack and relaxing in front of the TV when she is not busy with everything else going on in her life. Maeve is the oldest of two girls so she started off as an only child but a few years ago welcomed her sister Nora into the family. Going from the only child to having a sister, Maeve quickly learned how to share and wanted to write a book displaying the importance of sharing and being a good friend. Maeve hopes you enjoy her book! Nora is also a young girl who is just starting her life out. She is quickly following in her sister footsteps wanting to get involved with gymnastics and soccer. Nora is a very independent girl who likes to do everything on her own, even if it is something that a kids her age shouldn't be doing. She loves nothing more then playing with he sister. Nora loves spending time at home, and still doesn't like being too far away from her mother. Nora has excellent manners, loves to play with friends and family but since she is still young she is very sensitive and doesn't like anyone to take anything from her or telling her what to do. While Maeve and Nora get along very well, they have all the same stuff or they get jealous of what the other one has and it turns into a disagreement. This has got much better recently as they have taken the advice they have written about in their new book and have decided that it is much more fun to share. Nora also hopes you enjoy her book as well!
