Author Information

Laurent Cohen-Tanugi is a Paris-based international lawyer and public intellectual, and a recognized expert on European affairs and international relations. He has published several influential books, including, most recently, An Alliance at Risk: The United States and Europe Since September 11. He is a regular columnist for Le Monde and Les Echos, sits on the boards of several international think tanks, and was recently appointed by the French government to reflect on Europe's strategy in the global economy ahead of the French presidency of the European Union.
