Overview

Maris, who has resumed her life as Princess Lorraine Everhart, has been the active ruler of Trilland for nearly a year. Her official coronation as queen is looming, but she's struggling to manage everyone's expectations. Trilland suffered under Cassandra's tyrannical rule, and many expected Princess Lorraine's return to be the magic cure for the country's ailments, so patience and good will are running pretty thin across the island nation. Lorraine feels the immense weight and responsibility of being queen, especially to a struggling and damaged country, and she also worries how Zane will fit in to her new (or old, rather) royal life.
