The Shadow Beneath Ingolstadt

Overview

H. P. Lovecraft's mythos coils its tendrils around Mary Shelley's Frankenstein in a fusion of both classic works. Fueled by grief over the mother he couldn't save, seventeen-year-old Victor Frankenstein vows to conquer death, even if it costs him his life. But within the shadows of Ingolstadt University, he's not the only one playing God. A secret society plots to unravel the natural order by raising Eldritch forces that threaten the lives Victor is desperate to save. When the secret society targets Victor, he's forced into a turbulent partnership with his schoolmate and fellow reanimator, Joseph Curwen. Only Curwen does not take Victor's fears of the society seriously and cares only for perfecting reanimation. Yet their alliance might be humanity's only hope for survival-if Curwen's own secrets don't destroy them first. The Shadow Beneath Ingolstadt blends Shelley's gothic horror with the cosmic dread of H. P. Lovecraft for a dark tale of insanity, the dangers of prejudice, and what makes a monster in a gripping narrative that's perfect for new readers and long-time fans alike.
