Overview

Jesus Christ, God's incarnation, lived on Earth for 33.6 years. He came to seek and save sinners. According to the Law, sins can't be forgiven without bloodshed, so Jesus shed His blood, died on the cross, and rose again on the third day. While on the cross, He spoke seven powerful words: ""Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing."" He assured the repentant thief, ""Today you will be with me in paradise."" He entrusted His mother to His disciple, saying, ""Woman, here is your son,"" and to the disciple, ""Here is your mother."" Around 3 PM, He cried out, ""My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"" ""I am thirsty."" ""It is finished."" ""Father, into your hands I commit my spirit,"" and then He gave up His spirit. These words reveal His love, sacrifice, and fulfillment of His mission to save humanity.
