Reviews

Andrea B ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If you are wanting to go against the grain, do something out of the ordinary, not just stick to the 'rules', want more out of life, read this. How has this woman managed to stay alive?! Easy to read and full of entertaining stories. Christina A ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This book is clear, relatable and full of powerful takeaways - no fluff, just real talk and empowering lessons. Not your usual self-help book. Simple, honest, and uplifting, it makes self-reflection feel easy and empowering. Jennifer J ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Beautifully raw, honest, and deeply relatable. Each chapter felt like sharing a space with a friend who turned her struggles into strength. I found myself eagerly anticipating the next next chapter, the next revelation. The thoughtful questions inspire reflection to deepen self-understanding and self-respect. A book I will return to again and again. Jessica N ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Just finished reading, and this book is such a great balance of honesty, advice, and storytelling. The 'RESPECT' acronym is genius. So many lines stopped me mid-sentence ('Be yourself - no, not like that'). It really hits the sweet spot between relatable and thought-provoking. A must-read! Melissa D.L. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Authentic, relatable, reliable. With a side of good humour... and great shoes! Dr Kat's words for years have provided insight and a lens to navigate life with grace and clarity. She's proof that wisdom and style can share the same stage. Mina D ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ What a refreshing and uplifting read! As a career woman who has recently stared her own business this was a terrific read. It made me stop and reflect on how I can be more confident in business and in day to day life. It's a light read with so many charming anecdotes that are both engaging and relatable. Great for a weekend or mid-flight read! Olivia K.S. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ l've read up until page 46. It's amazing! I love it, it's so relatable, fresh and raw!! I had to screenshot this as it articulated exactly what l've always wanted to say but couldn't. I'm seriously loving it! This book is made for me

Author Information

Dr Katherine Iscoe is a female motivational speaker who challenges leaders to take bigger risks by letting go of imaginary judgment and criticism. She is also a board member, an author, a multiple scholarship winner, and a summa cum laude graduate. While she can now say ""I am proud of these achievements"" without becoming nauseous, she considers them perfect examples of the masks we all wear. Because the reality is these accomplishments hid 24-7 self-hate, a debilitating eating disorder, severe depression, and suicidal thoughts. She discovered that as a high-achiever, external validation and praise, not inner motivation, fueled her pursuits. And as a people-pleaser, she couldn't be a true leader when her main goal was to be everyone's best friend. For these reasons, she believes self-respect, more so than confidence, is the missing ingredient that truly helps leaders fear less and never settle for mediocre. This allows them to do those scary things that truly propel careers forward without worrying about looking 'stupid' if they fail or mess up.Her keynotes share the Seven Non-Negotiables of Self-Respect-achievable, daily, and 'ick-free' practices that help any leader drop their act so they can make a bigger impact within an organization.Alongside her professional escapades, she is a dog-obsessed, murder-documentary-loving nerd who uses sewing as therapy and shoes as her healthy addiction. More recently, she has challenged herself to take acting classes (which satisfies her inner diva tremendously), as her dream one day is to play the role of a therapist in a Hollywood movie (preferably opposite Chris Hemsworth).
