Currently he works as the Director of Transformation, Diversity and Inclusion in an all-girls' private school. Onke has two masters' degrees, one in Counselling Psychology and the other in Public Health. Currently he is in his final year of a PhD in Creative Writing at the University of Pretoria. He is a recipient of the Canon Collins Educational Trust Scholarship, as well as the International Visitors Leadership Programme (IVLP Public Health) granted by the US Department of State.
