Sie promovierte an der Leuphana Universität zu Sculpture in the Augmented Sphere und erwarb ihren MA am Courtauld Institute of Art. Ursula Ströbele leitet das Studienzentrum zur Kunst der Moderne und Gegenwart am ZI München. Sie forscht seit Jahren zu skulpturrelevanten Themen, zuletzt zur skulpturalen Ästhetik des Lebendigen und digitalen, virtuellen Skulptur.
