Overview

This research entitled the Scaffolding of Illegal Drugs Controlling and Prevention is conducted in Ethiopia to understand the trends of illegal drugs trafficking, ways of controlling and prevention and challenges faced the Counter Drug Controlling Division at Bole International Airport. Accordingly illegal drugs trafficking was increasing and drugs like cannabis, cocaine, heroin and methamphetamine were trafficked through the airport. it is also found that the division was not well equipped with advanced drug searching technologies.Even if the division had strong relations with stakeholders, partners and international organizations who has interest on drug problems, the study showed that court decisions given based on criminal code of the country had limitations.
