The Running of Golton

Overview

The land of Golton is a strange and mysterious continent, split down on one side between jungle and desert. In the jungle, five Lifekin tribes exist. Kia, an Ampurrun Seer-In-Training, and Niko, and Ankuiin, have their villages attacked by creatures from beyond reality, and are forced to flee. Kia is pushed to head towards the tallest of the mountains in Golton, the Throat. Niko finds one of the Ankuiin Guardian and Batterys, sacred pairs that exist to help all Lifekin, and escorted to the Throat to tell the Elders of the threats. They make it there just in time for the annual Running, a contest betwen all of the Guardian and Batterys in Golton. The winner of the Running...gets a wish. Their only wish is to return to their families, and tell the rest of Golton the danger the Shadowlings possess. But before they can do that, their first task is to win the Running of Golton!
