Hertlein, Ph.D., (she/her) is a Professor in the Couple and Family Therapy Program in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health, School of Medicine, University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). She received her master’s degree in marriage and family therapy from Purdue University Calumet and her doctorate in human development with a specialization in marriage and family therapy from Virginia Tech. Across her academic career, she has published over 90 articles, 12 books, and over 50 book chapters. She is currently the Editor-In-Chief of the Journal of Couple and Relationship Therapy. She was a 2018-2019 Fulbright Core Scholar, and in this role, served as a Visiting Lecturer and Guest Researcher at the University of Salzburg in Salzburg, Austria. She lectures nationally and internationally on technology, couples, and sex. Dr. Hertlein maintains a private practice in Las Vegas, Nevada.
