Table of ContentsReviewsThe design of the book is very eye-catching and the illustrations are amazing; so these will also keep your child intrigued as they have a lot to look at whilst listening to you read to them! The Roper Twins is a worthy addition to the -young children in your life's- library. It is very accessible to the children and is fun for the adult reader. Mischief, problem solving and mayhem abound in a story told in a straightforward and direct way. Good old Nan eventually get the twins washed but, hey! like life it's a challenge! I'm happy to recommend this little gem to you and your children. What a delightful take on toddler tantrums and bath-time.Light and funny with enough areas of interest to keep all children within the reading ages and beyond engaged. I found the illustrations vibrant and very clever in the way the additional details add the unwritten areas of the story. Fun and CharmingThe first thing I noticed about this book is that it portrays black characters (the Nan, Dad and the twins.) I think it is so important for children at such a young age to witness different skin colours in a positive environment and also for representation! The Mother of the twins is white which also means that mixed-race relationships are positive and being a biracial child DOESN'T make you an outcast.I thought the book was a brilliant concept as it portrays the twins in an everyday situation: bath time and I know that this is a situation that not all children love, so young children can also relate to the twins on this level.Unexpectedly I found myself fondly remembering aspects of my own childhood. It was also very refreshing to see a multi-racial family represented. This is a book children can grow up with. The bright eye catching pictures and hidden shapes will hold their interest and create lots of talking points. Then as they get older they will want to read the book for themselves over and over again. What a wonderful little book! As I looked back on the growth of my own daughter I was encouraged by reading the book, and Kayla enjoyed it too! Looking forward to the release of this relatable and enjoyable book! I give this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars! As a father of twins, this was an accurate and hilarious read. My daughters in particular were far more advanced that most children at that age, you could say my daughters are the Roper Twins.I cant wait for the next instalment. I recently read this book to my children and they loved it, such a jolly, happy and fun book to read over and over again. The twins are defiantly loveable characters along with nan! Very good book! This book is a great book and I really enjoyed reading it. I cant wait to see if there are more books to come from Cauline, I really hope there are! LOVED it.
