How would it be possible to develop educational experiences within the school in which the teacher, together with the school team, organises and systematises educational processes jointly and collectively, seeking to balance the dual aspects of educating and caring? How can professional identities be built within the school? Is the figure of the pedagogue essential for the organisation, systematisation and coordination of educational processes? These are questions that permeate the entire text of this work and which the reader is invited to reflect on while reading. These questions are directed at early childhood education that works with four- and five-year-old preschool children. The text offers relevant reflections on why and for what purpose children should be educated, on the role of the teacher as educational coordinator: their role, their resilience and how they build their professional identity, making it clear that no question in education has a ready and immutable answer, but without reflecting on what we do, we will never be able to identify areas for improvement and enhance the quality of existing educational processes.
