Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationCindy lived in a small town on the Black Sea coast of Turkey for two years where she taught English. This was the beginning of a life-long interest in Middle Eastern culture and language. Born in the UK, she emigrated to Australia in 1975 with her family. She's been an English language teacher, freelance travel writer, and tour guide in Turkey and Sydney, Australia. Her first novel The Afghan Wife is a love story set against the background of the Iranian Revolution in 1979. The Afghan Wife was placed third in the New York Chapter of the Romance Writers of America in the romantic thriller category. Since its publication, Cindy has been busy giving talks to a variety of groups in the Sydney and Illawarra area in NSW about the history of Iran and its modern day politics. Her second novel, The Revolutionary's Cousin follows the same characters from the first novel, as they try to establish themselves as migrants in both the United States and Australia.
