Overview

New philosophies and concerns in the public services - an emphasis on economy and management issues - have diminished interest in the concepts and specialised work of professionals. Carmel Jennings and Elizabeth Kennedy are Consultant Child Psychologists, Child and Family Department, Tavistock Clinic, London. Carmel Jennings is also a lecturer at Birkbeck College, University of London, and Elizabeth Kennedy is an Educational Psychologist in Westminster.
