"""Inside Voice Children Books"" has launched another series of books called ""The Reed Clan Books One, Two, Three, Four and Five. These books emphasize the importance of childhood experiences during the transitional phases from concrete to abstract thinking in children. Primarily, these books are base on the life of the author while growing up in a large family of 13 and the positive impact it had on her success as an adult. The authors' childhood memories and experiences represent the importance of concrete to abstract transitional stages during her formative years of development. Next, the author believes children relate sensory information gained from former abilities into developing new innovative skills. Examples of her positive life qualities achieved from growing up in a large family are her ability to share, to negotiate and self-reliance. In addition, stories depict in this series will help children build relationships with family members through everyday experiences and perceptions. Finally, generations of children will learn to read using the Sixth Sense Series books, and many will cherish the memory of reading and or listening to the simple and intriguing stories."

Bretta Staley, M.Ed Bretta Staley is a native of Orangeburg, South Carolina. She received her early academic training in the public schools of Orangeburg County and graduated from Edisto High School. She completed the requirements for a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art Education from Claflin University in 1977. She also did further studies at South Carolina State University, Limestone University, and the University of South Carolina in the areas of Art Education, Educational Research, Visual Communications and Computer Science. She received her Masters of Education in Divergent Learning from Columbia College, with an emphasis in Art. Currently, she is an active artist and author. She has taught in the public schools of Greenville, Florence, Colleton, Calhoun County, and Orangeburg County. She served as Fine Arts Coordinator of the Claflin College Upward Bound Summer Program for several years. She also serves as a visual arts coordinator/teacher for the Orangeburg-Calhoun Consortium for the Arts in Orangeburg, South Carolina.
