This is ideal for those used to fettling their own Ducatis ... if your Ducati is within the time span - and you're not averse to twirling spanners in a confident manner - this book is well worth the price of GBP65.00 for all the information contained. Desmo --- The writing style is conversational, the content expansive, the images and illustrations clear and helpful ... having this resource in your shop could save money, hassle and time. - UltimateMotorcycling.com. This book looks as good as any we've seen, and we haven't the slightest doubt that the author has put everything he's got into getting his facts straight and presenting them in as manageable a way as possible. With 288 pages and a whopping 1,220 images this volume covers everything from general servicing to diagnostic software to homemade and commercial special tools, to schematics, to theory, to metrology. If all that sounds a little too highbrow for the average home mechanic, we think the text and instructions are clear and comprehensive and demystify the technicals. We think you can buy with confidence safe in the knowledge that you're getting your money's worth. - Sump.

Author Information

Eduardo Cabrera, better known in the Spanish ducatisti community as Baron Rojo (Red Baron), was born in Madrid, in 1972. Since his earliest memories, he has been passionate about motorcycles. He got his first bike in 2000: a Ducati 750 SS, and since then he’s only ridden Ducatis. With a natural inclination to all things mechanical, it was a breakdown of his 1988 Paso 750, just after a complete service by the dealer, that started his deep interest in the mechanics of that iconic Italian motorcycle. From a self-taught beginning, his fluency in English and French allowed him to further his knowledge in Ducati mechanics through foreign literature. It was in this way that a first rough draft of what would later become his Ultimate Ducati Desmo Manual started taking shape in a series of articles published online at www.ducatistas.com, the main Spanish DOC forum. Thanks to the contacts he made with respected specialists in the Ducati marque, he’s been able to gain a complete knowledge and the ability to perform the most complex repairs. Progress in this work, and his recognition by the ducatisti, finally resulted in the opening of his own Ducati specialist workshop in early 2016.
