Lynn Hjelmen has always had an interest in researching her Scandinavian roots. After 34 years of teaching, she is enjoying retirement. Two of her hobbies, crafting and shopping at thrift stores, brought about the creation of The Recycled Gnome. She lives in Minnesota with her husband.
