She teaches writing and comics classes for the University of Kentucky's Department of Writing, Rhetoric, and Digital Media. She has an MFA in Painting and is a permanent artist-in-residence at the Lexington Art League's Loudon House. She's a member of SCBWI Midsouth, winner of the 2015 SCBWI Midsouth Illustration Contest and an honorable mention in the 2014 SCBWI Midsouth Fiction Manuscript Contest.
