Author InformationBeth Francis is a Health Professional with experience in teaching and program management. Beth currently serves as the Nursing / Allied Health Program Manager for the Pima County Joint Technical Education District ( JTED ). Beth is the JTED liaison to the Tucson Medical Center in conjunction with their yearly community event for children - The Teddy Bear Clinic. Beth collaborated on this story with a band of her program students. In this work, they brought the Teddy Bear Clinic to life along with participation from The Reading Pig - Read Daily. Dr. Nicholas I. Clement is the Ernest W. McFarland Citizen's Chair in Education, and endowed Professor of Practice at Northern Arizona University. He recently established an Arizona based non profit; Teachers Change Brains. This foundation distributes his book selling proceeds to deliver grants to Teachers and fund Children's Literacy projects. Judy has been an artist since an early age. She studied Art Education in college and has made a career in the art field. As a fashion illustrator, Judy worked for retail department stores, then worked as an educational book illustrator, followed by a job as a graphic artist for a newspaper. She then worked as an artist and designer for a large toy company. In a state of semi - retirement, Judy calls Tucson home and works as a free-lance artist illustrating and designing books for children, painting, gardening and enjoying her family.
