The Rainforest Queen

Overview

The Rainforest Queen is the first novelette in our alternate history series, ""The Rainforest Chronicles."" Yarima, the leader of an all-female Yanomami rainforest tribe, has just begun to see the dangers posed by the European explorers from the East, who call themselves conquistadors, to her land, people, and way of life. She has heard from tribes to the west that an explorer from a land across the western ocean might have what she needs to defeat this threat, so she travels to meet him at a tribal village on that ocean's shore. There, she meets Tianshu, who comes from China. He is on a mission to explore the South American continent, learning about the land, its tribes, and the riches it might offer in exchange for his help, and to assess the damage that European colonization leaves in its wake. He and Yarima plan an expedition that will accomplish his goals and hers. So, follow the action starting on page one and leading to a thrilling conclusion on the very last page as they join forces to battle the conquistadors.
