When seventy-one-year-old novelist Harlan Gage finds his neighbor Gerald dead in a chair facing a window - coffee still warm, newspaper still open - he knows immediately that the death is not what the medical examiner will say it is. Injured fighting a large fire requiring a rebuild, but still functioning and flipped many homes. Now retired and enjoying spinning tales as he closed in on 90 years old, 87 and holding.
