Overview

Clyde McCall is about to play in the biggest basketball game of his young life, The Forest City Championship - but something is wrong. Clyde's only shoes are old and worn out, but he knows he cannot get new basketball shoes on his own. He turns to his three best friends, Maria Clara Reynolds, Jacob Grant, and the always-up-to-no-good Marlon Walters, for help. They embark on a quest to help Clyde get a pair of new basketball shoes. Will Clyde and his friends succeed or will Clyde have to wear his old shoes in the big game? Clyde may discover that what he believes he wants may not be what he needs at all.

I am a first time Author, the Quests of Clyde McCall is my first book and my first children's book. I am of Canadian-Guyanese background. Educated at the University of Ottawa. I am currently a professional basketball player, traveling the world. I wrote this book to share some of the life lessons I learned through the game like friendship, hard work, and dedication. Special thanks to Jermaine Baylis for his illustrations and bringing these characters to life. Also to Pastor Paul Riley who literally made me pursue something bigger than myself. Carpe Diem.
