Overview

This is a story about the author's life based on his dream of being successful as a young boy who afterwards came to the United States of America to pursue his dream. Upon reaching the land of the United States of America, the perspective of the dream was ultimately changed to the American dream, and he started following the American dream and halted from pursuing it for several years. While he was on a hiatus, he felt that a major part of my life was missing because his dream was not fulfilled. Thus, he eventually restarted to follow the big American dream that he once had, but this time with enormous hope and a stronger faith. He endured several predicaments and obstacles during his effort to taste the American dream. But with faith, his belief in America's exceptionalism, perseverance, hard work, diligence, resilience, prayers, and self- determination, he eventually succeeded even after failing several times because of hope, faith, and the mindset that he had to make it regardless of what the obstacles may have been, and he did. The theme of his story is to convince readers that faith, perseverance, and determination were the key constituents to his success.

DR. JONATHAN A. MARCELLUS is a native of Haiti who immigrated to the United States in 1990. His journey is one of faith, resilience, hard work, tenacity, perseverance, and success. Dr. Marcellus completed his high school studies in Newark, New Jersey in 1991. He earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) with honors (Cum Laude) in individualized studieswith a concentration in Hospitality Management, followed by a Master of Science (M.S.) in Hospitality Managementfrom Fairleigh Dickinson University. Then, he received a Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) degree and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Management with a specialization in Leadership and Organizational Change. He alsoholds a Master of Science in Taxation degree from the University of New Haven. He obtained a certificate in Hospitality Management from Atlantic Cape Community College (ACCC). Dr. Marcellus is an academic researcher and scholar practitioner having published a study on employee recognition in 2021. He is currently the founder and CEO of his firm known as Marcellus Integrity Multi Services, LLC. He was the nominee for Atlantic County Commissioner, but he narrowly lost the election, so he is no longer the nominee. He has authored a book on educational Leadership. He is a husband and father of two sons.
