Reviews
Small but beautifully formed, this is truely a treasure chest of delights for the under fives. The collection is packed full of traditional nursery rhymes like 'Humpty Dumpty' and 'Pop Goes the Weasel'; contemporary favourites such as 'The Wheels on the Bus'; and verses, lullabies and poems from the likes of Edward Lear, Johannes Brahms, William Blake and Robert Louis Stevenson. There are also fairy tales - 'Goldilocks and the Three Bears', 'The Ugly Duckling', 'The Three Little Pigs' and 'The Gingerbread Man'; Raymond Briggs's much loved 'Snowman' and 'Spots First Picnic'. This wonderful selection of the traditional and the modern is beautifully brought to life by a marvellous array of children's illustrators including Tony Ross, Nick Sharratt, Kate Greenaway and Eric Hill and pratically every page is a work of art in itself. All told 'The Baby and Toddler Treasury' is a must for any nursery and a bargain to boot! (Kirkus UK)
