Author Information

Dr Emmanuel Janagan Johnson is working as an Associate Professor of social work at the School of Social Work and Human Services, Faculty of Health Sciences, Troy University, Troy, Alabama, USA. He has been teaching for over thirty years and his areas of specialization include social work education, qualitative research, social work with children and families, domestic violence, child abuse, and community health. Dr Johnson has received several awards, published five books, contributed chapters in several books and published more than sixty journal articles. He has supervised twelve PhD research scholars, six MPhil research scholars, and sixty-four MSW research projects. Recently he received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Association of Professional Social Workers in India (NAPSWI), recognizing his contributions to the social work profession at the global level. He is serving as a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Child and Adolescent Trauma.
