Wendy is a former member of the Thomasville Board of education and is currently serving on the Thomasville City Council. Wendy Bryant Sellars was born in Manhattan, New York where she lived the majority of her childhood. She moved to Thomasville NC with her family in 1983. Wendy graduated from Thomasville High School in 1985 and enrolled at NC Central University that same year. Wendy graduated from NC Central University in 1989 with Bachelors of art in Political Science. Wendy held several jobs after graduating but her calling is working with people. Wendy began her love for working with the community early in college as she joined the amazing finer women of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. in 1988.
