The Price of Blood

Overview

For the ""Blues"" Unit, the war never ends. Fresh from a bloody mission, the Federation's elite, genetically-modified soldiers are dispatched to the frozen wastes of space where a mining colony has fallen mysteriously silent. What should be a routine rescue operation quickly descends into a hell from which there is no return. What they discover within the corridors of ""Heron's Folly"" is not mere technical failure or a pirate raid, but a tomb consumed by an ancient horror. As they fight for survival against a nightmarish alien foe that twists people into monsters, the soldiers realize the greatest threat may not lie in the darkness, but in the beast one of them carries within their own blood. When a chilling truth comes to light, Commander Anika Reyes and her squad understand they are mere pawns in a monstrous game. Betrayed by those they swore allegiance to, they are trapped between a merciless alien enemy and the cynicism of their own command. Pushed to the brink, they must make an impossible choice: remain faithful to the orders that condemn them to death, or become the very weapons everyone fears to protect one another. ""The Price of Blood"" is the second book in the ""The Blues"" series - an explosive sequel that plunges the reader even deeper into a dark universe of military science fiction, filled with relentless action, psychological tension, and moral dilemmas, where the line between hero and monster is as thin as a razor's edge.
