OverviewThe Muslims of the Indian Subcontinent (Bangladesh, India, Pakistan) call themselves 'Musalmans', which is in the title of this book. This work is the result of Qur'an study sessions the author had with his children. These study sessions covered different translations of the Qur'an, and discussions on important historical events of early Islam. The book summarizes the commandments in the Qur'an associated with each Surah (chapter). Brief notes are provided at the end for most Surahs, and in some cases to emphasize the importance of the context. It is hoped that the 'Practicing Musalman' will serve as a resource for teaching young adults the basics of the Qur'an, and also to motivate them to embark on their own journey of discovery.
