OverviewRev. John G. Innis is a renowned leader in the United Methodist Church, having served as Bishop from 2000 to 2016. Born in Wehyongar Town, Grand Bassa County, Liberia, West Africa, Bishop Innis began his educational journey at Camphor Mission, a rural United Methodist institution. He holds a high school diploma from Bassa High School(1970), a BSc degree, from the University of Liberia(1977), and an MDiv degree, from Saint Paul School of Theology, Kansas City, MO(1988). Bishop Innis' distinguished ministry includes serving as principal of Camphor Mission, pastor of Garfield Memorial United Methodist Church, and clergy assistant to Bishop Arthur Kulah.
