This book has been written to encourage both individuals, churches and church fellowships, with respect to the need for prayer in our lives today. In this book we will specifically discuss the need for active prayer as part of the foundation of a successful Christian life. We will consider how important it is to pray from the mountaintop of victory and not from the valley of despair. Along with this, we shall also consider what happens to churches that do not set up the facility for its members to pray; relating this to why Jesus drove out those who bought and sold from the temple courts. We shall also evaluate the model of prayer, as set out by Jesus in the gospels and the model of the New Testament Church, as set out by the apostles in the Book of Acts. We shall also analyse the effect of the power of prayer on churches and fellowships, as well as relating prayer to God's will and the need for evangelism across the world today. Finally, we shall look at the rising tide of celebrity status that is gripping both the world and some of out churches and how to address such matters.
