Overview

The West, China, Russia, are intensifying their economic and ideological influences in Africa, in a movement to reshape the landscape of international relations, now subject to multipolarity and its demands for competitiveness. Emerging countries such as India, Turkey, Brazil and many others, are positioning themselves as a true alternative diplomatic force and are seizing this opportunity to assert themselves on the international scene, with the African continent risking remaining just a tool for emergence and consolidation of the power of others. It is therefore urgent for African people to identify the real issues that revolve around their political and social fragilities, in order to address the continent's real challenges and develop consequent responses. This work is intended to be a contribution to this reflection.
