Overview

The Poseidon Crisis explores real technology available to the world's governments today, and how weapons based on that technology, as well as the people who control them, can be a force for bad, or good. Here is the fictionalized story of two intertwined threats against the U.S. First, CIA physicist Paul Blake and his team are pitted against a Russian submarine carrying a revolutionary new nuclear torpedo headed for a preemptive strike designed to bring down the U.S. government. And at the same time the U.S. 'Star Wars' missile defense system, with its 'Exoatmospheric Kill Vehicles', kinetic energy interceptors operating above the earth's atmosphere, must stop a North Korean missile attack.
