OverviewThrough My Lens Volume 1. The Port Huron and Detroit Railroad operated freight service between Port Huron and Marine City, MI. The all-Alco shortline's last run was on a fittingly dreary December 13, 1984. The PH&D was acquired by the Chessie System / Chesapeake and Ohio Railroad and is currently operated by CSX. This book features 127 color photographs of the PH&D, Grand Trunk Western, Chessie System (C&O) and Canadian National in Port Huron as seen through my lens from my discovery of the line in 1982 to the final days in 1984.
