Feldstein, PhD, has been a professor and the Robert Gumbiner Chair in Health Care Management in the Paul Merage School of Business at the University of California, Irvine, since 1987. Prior to Irvine, he was a professor at the University of Michigan in both the Department of Economics and the School of Public Health. In addition, he served as the director of the Division of Research at the American Hospital Association. Dr. Feldstein has written seven books, used widely in classrooms across the country, and more than 70 articles on healthcare, health economics, and health policy.
