Overview

Earth, alone for centuries in the galaxy, encounters another sapient species. The new race has no interest in peaceful coexistence and soon the Earth Alliance is fighting for its life. A lone fleet and their civilian charges find shelter in a mining colony that resists the invading hordes of enemy vessels. Thirty years later, out of options to hold their three hard won systems from the relentless enemy, the government sends a ship to find out if Earth still exists, and to ask for help. But things are not as they seem. The president of the colonies has a hidden agenda and sends the oldest ship with the worst crew they could find. Internal conflicts and equipment breakdowns plague the mission as the civilian crew fights to fulfill a mission doomed from the start. Only a miracle can put the Pathfinders in Earth space before the enemy destroys the colony of Babylon and her teaming millions.
