Meet Piggy! This special pig changed his farm for the better. As he grows and learns, he transforms the way the animals interact with others. This valuable lesson is one the animals will remember for the rest of their lives. Piggy was born different and has special needs he needs accommodations for. The other pigs his age don't understand him and don't know how to interact or play with him. Over time, Piggy shows just how incredible his mind is and that viewing the world differently isn't a bad thing. The other pigs learn to get to know him better and end up becoming really great friends! The author, Sarah Opal White, has a Master's degree in Educational Psychology and is a licensed board certified behavior analyst (BCBA) who has worked as a behavior technician for children with special needs in the field of applied behavioral analysis (ABA) since 2020. Over the years, she has developed a desire to advocate for the brilliant children she works with who may be labeled as ""different"" or ""not normal"". The goal would ultimately be acceptance for all, no matter how their brain processes information or how they interact with the world. This book is loosely based on her experience working with children and she hopes it can change the perspective of others who may not yet understand that their differences are what make them great.
