Overview

"I view Photoshop not just as a piece of software, but a bridge that allows you to bring what is in your minds eye and in your soul into the physical world for the rest of us to experience. That is one aspect of art. Then there is the technical side of Photoshop.Which can feel very overwhelming and complex. With menus, layers, mask, panels, etc., for many it can become very frustrating. One of my students said, ""There is so many tools and I don't know what one to use."" That insight was the inspiration for this guide. There are so many, many good books and resources for learning this program, but most of the time I have personally found that they tend address some areas of the program lightly and the tool section happens to be one of them. This guide will only address Tools and their Options. What they do, how they behave and what to do to make their use more efficient. I wrote this in the most simplest manner I could to make the use of this guide as easy as possible. The best way is to open it up the book, open Photoshop and just go through each tool one at a time and practice, practice, practice. You might never use all of the tools, but the better you know your software the less you are bogged down in the technical side."
