Author Information

About the Author David R. Peterson is an Emergency Physician living in Edina, Minnesota. He grew up in Glenview, Illinois. He attended St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota, graduating in 1980, marrying his college sweetheart Sheri in 1981. He spent 1980-84 back in Chicago attending Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine, then back to Minnesota to complete a 3 year Internal Medicine residency at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. After another year as chief resident, he started full time at the hospital in Emergency Medicine in 1988. When he isn't on the golf course, lifting weights and working out, playing racquetball or tennis, visiting with family and friends, up at the cabin, attending hockey games, bible studies, church, and reading, he can be found at work or watching Star Trek. Through his work in the Emergency Department, there have been countless residents, students, and scribes whose lives have been touched (in some way) over the years.
