Overview

Angels worship and adore Him, demons fear Him, the Son of the living God, who according to the Apostle John, ""was manifested so that He could destroy the works of the devil"" (1 John 3:8). Jesus was known by gospel authors to be many wonderful things including preacher, teacher, counselor, healer but it is the Gospel of Mark where Jesus is seen, primarily, as an exorcist. Not just any run-of-the-mill exorcist and there were many in first century Israel; no, Jesus was the greatest exorcist of all time. Christ's authority to hammer demons came from God and through Him that authority was pristine and impeccable. Many books have been written about angels and demons, as well as about Jesus the exorcist. Here is a book, the culmination of many years of study, that com- bines angelology with demonology with a third feature, a study of Jesus the exorcist. All three naturally go together in any coherent study of the three topics. Christians today are called to respect angels who attend to us, although we are not called to worship them. With regard to demons, we are called to rebuke and cast them out, like Jesus did. Learning the personalities of all three, angels, demons, and of Jesus will help us fulfill the will of God in this life.
