He said that His yoke is easy and His burden is light. This implies that in Christ things become easy-there is zero resistance. I am not saying that there won't be things trying to stop you. I am just saying that even though those things will come their effect will be zero. In Christ there is no striving. There is no exertion of self-effort. There is no demand on personal power. You rely on His strength. He is your strength. You experience effortless change because it depends on Him. This dependence on Him pleases God. He is pleased with you when you depend on Jesus Christ.Without faith it is impossible to please Him (Hebrews 11:6). You must believe that He exists and He will take care of your needs. If you don't believe in what He promised, you will find it hard to surrender to Him entirely. This strangles the supernatural flow. It hinders you from experiencing the best of God for you. It's possible to get something going when you try to do it in your own effort, but, it's not going to be the best of God. It's not going to be His perfect will. It won't be the permanent solution. It can seem solved when you have actually just suppressed it. It will soon spring up and work to your disadvantage.
