Her research interests include modern Chinese grammar and linguistic typology. She was awarded Champion (the only awardee) of the Young Scholar Award Competition of the National Society of Chinese Dialectology (2013), the Luo Changpei Linguistics Award by the Chinese Linguistics Society (2018), and the Lü Shuxiang Linguistics Award by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (2020), Gold Award of Li Fang-Kuei Book Awards in Linguistics by Li Fang-Kuei Society of Chinese Linguistics (2023), and Youth Achievement Award of Higher Education Scientific Research Outstanding Achievement Awards (Humanities and Social Sciences) by Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China (2024).
