Overview

The Park Is Empty & Beauty's Gone Home Whilst creating his epic, 70,000-word prose-novel ""My Tale"" [A Ballad], Irish singer/songwriter Paul Murphy also wrote a series of other songs during that period. Those 16 titles are presented here. Possibly anti-inspired by the happy marriage portrayal of some of the characters in ""My Tale"" [by chance, a 4-page stand-alone chapter of ""My Tale"" was written into this volume chronologically], these works were of a theme intended to be a Blood On The Tracks-type narrative. Although two semi-love songs did make it into this collection [both versions of 'My Dreams Of You'], this remains a dark-shadow-recounting of a broken marriage, told in the unmistakeable lyrical flair of the late master of cinematic poetry. Also included are reproductions of all the existing handwritten manuscripts, plus some images taken from his last-ever online performance video.
