OverviewThis Handbook presents a comprehensive overview of emerging trends in (transnational) organized criminality in contemporary Africa. Utilizing empirical and evaluative data sources scholars, professionals, and researchers in transnational organized crimes (TOCs) here depict and analyse the dynamic nature of associated crises affecting the African continent. The Handbook also explores the interconnectedness of TOCs beyond the shores of Africa, and the ‘borderless’ configuration of related criminalities is analysed in depth. With chapters ranging from human trafficking, to arms and migrants smuggling, illicit financial flow, insurgency, and terrorism among others within and beyond the borders of Africa, this book provides overview and analysis of cross-border and transnational organized criminality in Africa in the twenty-first century.
