Overview

An ostrich, disheveled and stranded on the side of the road, needs a ride back to his flock. His topsy-turvy knees won't fit in a cab, and his broad hips make the bus a tight squeeze. Luckily, an adventurous boy spots him while on his motorbike. Should he give this mischievous bird a lift?

Author Information

Celia Botto, M.Ed., is a special educator from New Hampshire. She credits her exposure to the arts while growing up in the Berkshires as a major influence on her writing. Celia resides in Manchester with her husband, dog, and their collection of vinyl records. The Ostrich Needs a Lift is Celia's second children's book. Her first book, When Ayden Paints the Sky, was published in 2024. She would like to thank Miles for guiding the ostrich on his journey back to his flock. Celia hopes her nieces, nephews, and students enjoy the newest adventure in the whimsical world she created for them.
