The Osteoporosis Manual: Biology, Prevention, Diagnosis and Treatment

Overview

This new, expanded edition of The Osteoporosis Manual provides an updated overview of advances in the biology, diagnosis, and management of osteoporosis, reflecting progress that has significantly improved patient outcomes worldwide. As osteoporosis has become a condition for which effective therapeutic strategies are available, all clinicians play a role in addressing the “osteoporosis treatment gap” identified in recent years. Written by recognized experts in the field, the book reviews current developments in therapy monitoring, the diagnostic evaluation of bone marrow edema syndrome, and emerging insights into bone remodeling and regulatory pathways. It also outlines the value of a multidisciplinary approach to care. This extensively revised edition serves as a practical and reliable reference for clinicians involved in the assessment and treatment of patients with osteoporosis.
